Far too often, Christians are seen as judgmental, legalistic, and intolerant people who don’t love others. Jesus talked a lot about love—about how we should treat one another. How can you talk to your friends and family when they ask why you do what you do? Why are you different from other people? You’re not alone! We can all help reach out with the Good News to those who haven’t heard.
Oneness Pentecostalism (also known as Apostolic, Jesus’ Name Pentecostalism, or the Jesus Only movement) is a nontrinitarian religious movement within the Protestant Christian family of churches known as Pentecostalism. It derives its distinctive name from its teaching on the Godhead, which is popularly referred to as the “Oneness doctrine,” a form of Modalistic Monarchianism. This doctrine states that there is one God, a singular divine spirit, who manifests himself in many ways, including as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This stands in sharp contrast to the doctrine of three distinct and eternal persons posited by Trinitarian theology.

The first baptisms in early Christianity are recorded in the Acts of the Apostles. Acts 2 records the Apostle Peter, on the day of Pentecost, preaching to the crowds to “repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (or forgiveness) of sins” (Acts 2:38).
